LLS double shaft screw conveyor

The double shaft screw conveyor is a highly efficient conveying device designed specifically for sticky, lumpy, or fibrous bulk materials. Its core feature is the two parallel, counter-rotating screw shafts, which are widely used in industries such as chemical, environmental protection, and food processing. It is suitable for special materials like sludge, distiller's grains, compound fertilizers, and biomass. The structure of the double shaft screw conveyor consists of a drive unit, double screw shafts (equipped with intermeshing blades), a fully enclosed casing, and inlets and outlets. When the double shafts rotate in opposite directions, the blades intermesh and shear, not only pushing the material along the axial direction but also breaking up lumps and mixing the components. This design solves the common problem of blockages in single-shaft conveyors.Compared to single-shaft models, the double shaft screw conveyor offers stronger resistance to blockages, more uniform conveying, and integrated mixing capabilities. The fully enclosed design prevents the leakage of odors and dust, making it suitable for horizontal or slightly inclined conveying applications. The robust shaft system and wear-resistant blade design ensure stable operation under harsh working conditions, making it an ideal choice for handling materials with complex characteristics.

Comparison of single shaft, double shaft, and shaftless screw conveyors

Shafted Screw Conveyor: Equipped with a central solid shaft to support the screw blade; suitable for conveying dry, granular, or powdery materials (e.g., cement, grain) without easy entanglement. Shaftless Screw Conveyor: No central shaft; relies on the rigidity of the screw blade itself for operation; ideal for materials prone to winding, clogging, or caking (e.g., sludge, wet coal, fibrous materials).
