Ⅰ. General Working Conditions (Ambient Temperature, Non-corrosive, Low Abrasion)
Applicable Materials: Coal, cement, grain, fertilizer, etc.
Recommended Materials:
- Scraper: Q235 / 16Mn (quenched, hardness HRC45-50)
- Chain: 20Mn2 carburized and quenched chain
Features and Advantages:
- Low overall cost and high cost - effectiveness
- Easy maintenance and convenient spare parts replacement
- Suitable for medium and light load conveying scenarios with a conveying capacity of ≤100 m³/h
Ⅱ. High Abrasion Working Conditions (Material Hardness >HRC 30)
Applicable Materials: Ore, quartz sand, furnace slag, construction waste, etc.
Recommended Materials:
- Scraper: NM400 wear-resistant steel (thickness ≥12 mm) or alloy cast iron scraper
- Chain: 40Cr / 20CrMnTi alloy chain (carburized and quenched, surface hardness HRC55 - 60)
Design Optimization Suggestions:
- Adopt rounded edges on the scraper to reduce cracking caused by impact
- Increase the chain pitch by 10–15% to enhance load-bearing capacity and wear life
Ⅲ. Corrosive Working Conditions (Acidic / Alkaline Materials, or High Humidity Environment)
Applicable Materials: Chemical raw materials, acid and alkali solutions, salts, seawater desalination sludge, etc.
Material Selection Based on Corrosion Level:
- Weak corrosion (pH 4-10): 304 stainless steel scraper +304 stainless steel chain
- Strong corrosion (pH < 4 or pH > 10): 316L scraper+316L chain
- Extremely strong corrosion (containing chlorine, fluorine media): Hastelloy scraper + titanium alloy chain
Protective Measures:
- Polish the scraper surface to reduce attachment and corrosion points
- Use sealed pin structure for chains to prevent the ingress of corrosive media
Ⅳ. High Temperature Working Conditions (Material Temperature >100℃)
Applicable Materials: High-temperature furnace slag, clinker, asphalt, high-temperature chemical materials, etc.
Material Selection Based on Temperature Level:
- Medium temperature (100-300℃): 16Mn heat-resistant scraper + 40Cr alloy chain
- High temperature (300-800℃): 321 stainless steel scraper + 321 chain
Accompanying Suggestions:
- Select high-temperature wear-resistant bearings (with a temperature tolerance ≥ material temperature +50℃)
- Use molybdenum disulfide high-temperature lubricating grease for chains
Ⅴ. Sanitary Working Conditions (Food, Pharmaceutical Industry)
Applicable Materials: Flour, grains, pharmaceutical raw materials, food additives, etc.
Recommended Materials:
- Scraper: 304/316L stainless steel (with surface polishing Ra ≤ 0.8 μm)
- Chain: 304/316L stainless steel chain (with a design that facilitates cleaning without dead corners)
Compliance and Design Requirements:
- Material selection must comply with FDA or food-grade requirements to prevent heavy metal leaching
- Prioritize welding for the connection between scraper and chain to minimize sanitary dead corners
